Sept. 25, 2020 - AVPro Edge's engineering team has been working extremely hard over the last two years on developing a stable networked A/V ecosystem. We knew that if AVPro Edge was to create an audio/video distribution system using an IP infrastructure as the delivery method, it had to be done right. So, with a major focus on the audio/video installer, we are excited to give you a sneak peek of MX Net, the Networked A/V Ecosystem that allows integrators to deliver an unlimited number of sources to an unlimited number of screens. MX Net's features include easy setup and control, networked audio support, resolution scaling, EDID management, troubleshooting tools, real-time feedback with screen feedback, ultra-safe encryption, and much more.
What sets this networked audio/video distribution system apart from all the rest is the setup. Integrators need to understand many different topics; construction, electrical, design, acoustics, lighting, I could go on and on. It's hard to be an expert on everything then be expected to become an expert in IP or IT also.
AVPro has designed this system's set up for A/V integrator logic, meaning we engineered this process specifically for the A/V installer - no remembering IP addresses, not having to assign MAC addresses. We do all that for you. You name the devices you want, like "Audio Zone 4" or "Digital Menu." This control system allows you to control the EDID and resolution scaling to work with any legacy projectors or displays previously installed. And with 4K support, the latest displays will shine throughout the installation.
AVPro's engineers have been working on this project for years to ensure that integrators will be able to install and configure this system quickly and easily. This removes the most challenging part of using IP as an audio/video distribution system, configuring the network switch. With MX Net, the switch is ready to support 4K video distribution throughout your next corporate, education, retail, hospitality, or bar and restaurant installation.

Building an MX Net system is simple. By combining these six different products, integrators will be able to deliver the next level video distribution experience you come to expect from AVPro. Here is a breakdown of the entire family of products.
This transmitter device is where the signal starts. Connect this to any HDMI source, and it will encode the audio/video signal into data that can be transferred through a network switch. This device is connected directly to the MX Net Switch (AC-MXNET-SW47) or any compatible network switch via category cable or fiber optics.
This receiver device is where the signal is decoded, converting it back to an HDMI signal that is displayed on any connecting monitor, TV, or projector. This device is also connected to the MX Net Switch (AC-MXNET-SW47) or any compatible network switch via category cable or fiber optics. Once connected, the switch can route the signal from any of the connected AC-MXNET-1G-T units. Switching between these devices happens very quickly, making sure the audience's attention is never lost.
The Control Processor
This device is necessary for every MX Net install. This is where the logic is stored, and commands are processed. Connect this device to your network switch, and it does all the work for you. Our engineers have set this control processor up so that no previous IT experience is necessary, building it to be set up by Audio/Video installers. This is also where your dynamic video walls are processed. Dynamic means, in an instant, you can change your 2x2 or 3x3 video wall from one signal being displayed over multiple displays to each display receiving and displaying its own source.
The MX Network Switch
Your MX Net distribution system's backbone is the network switch, built to work directly with the MX Net family of A/V distribution. Ready to handle networked audio, video, and control, sending receiving signals from the AC-MXNET-1G-T and routing them to the AC-MXNET-1G-R's connected. Expanding beyond the 47 ports is a breeze with built-in cascading, allowing for unlimited inputs and outputs.
Source Tiling and Switching
This device allows you to configure any four sources on a screen, showing all four signals simultaneously. The layout is entirely customizable; the only limit for source layout is the integrator's imagination. Once you have selected your design, you can connect the AC-MXNET-1G-T and distribute this multi-view signal to any of the connected displays.
Static Video Walls
You already know that the MX Net family can process video walls without an external device, but teaming up the Fresco line with the MX Net allows you to place static video walls anywhere in your setup without having to use four AC-MXNET-1G-R units. Teaming up one unit with a Fresco 4 allows you to display a 4K video wall on any four displays.
